TwinView Standard Description
TwinView enables users to view AutoCAD drawings, namely DXF and DWG-formatted files, without having to install complex applications.
Quick setup and familiar GUI
Setting up the program is a fast and easy job. It sports a user-friendly interface which resembles AutoCAD a little. Users may import DXF and DWG items with the help of either the file browser or drag-and-drop function. Depending on the complexity of the drawing, the app may take a while to load it.
View other types of files
The “Navigator” pane lets users seamlessly locate AutoCAD files while exploring directories. The tool offers support for many other file types apart from DXF and DWG, including images (e.g. BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG), DGN, HPGL, PLT and PLO.
Customize app settings
It is possible to snap to grid, toggle ortho mode, change the background color, choose between color or black and white full display mode, modify the display style, as well as switch to 2D Wireframe, 3D Wireframe or Goraud shaded mode.
TwinView supports printing documents in batch mode and multiple UI languages. It lets users import new fonts, manage XRef and AutoCAD Styles directories, make file associations with DWG and DXF file types for opening and printing, and so on.
Conclusion
The app uses low CPU and RAM, so it does not affect the computer’s overall performance. There were no kind of issues throughout our evaluation, as TwinView did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. All in all, it comes packed with some handy features for viewing AutoCAD drawings.
