WaveVue Description

Audio processing is now an activity which can easily be performed with the right set of software components. You don’t necessarily need a recording device to manipulate audio files. For instance, WaveVue is a practical application with which to analyze audio waveform, and export custom segments.

Can be used on the go

A cool things about it is that you’re saved the entire effort and time required for a setup process. This means that you can carry it on a thumb drive to use wherever needed. More than that, the health status of the computer you decide to use it on is not put at risk, because registry entries are not modified during runtime.

The visual design wants to help you get a better view of the audio file you load. Note that you can only work with WAV files, and this goes for both import and export options. One file is processed at a time, and you can simply drop it over the window to have its waveform built. Don’t forget to set a destination for the section you want to cut.

Extract segments from WAV files

The waveform is instantly built, and you can clearly see sections. Interacting with the mouse allows you to zoom in and out, while hovering the cursor over the waveform shows the exact time. There are a couple of fields which show start and end time, but these can’t be directly edited, so you need to use the mouse to select the section.

You can change the waveform gradient to get a better view. There’s also the possibility to make use of the AGS system. Capturing the segment of interest is done in little time, and saved to the specified location at the press of a button.

A few last words

To end with, WaveVue is a pretty straightforward application aimed to help you analyze, and if necessary extract custom sections from your WAV files. Portability gives it a neat advantage, letting you always have it at hand, while the overall set of features is pretty intuitive.
