WinDraw Description
WinDraw is a lightweight tool designed to help you easily plot out regular and parametric functions.
The graphs can be drawn in the Cartesian or Polar coordinates coordinate system. With it you are able to evaluate roots, first derivatives and also display minimum and maximum points.
WinDraw displays a more than comprehensive interface which makes it very easy to understand and use. To plot the function you simply enter it in a text field and click a button. The graph is automatically generated without the need of any other settings. Functions that are typed in are case sensitive so you need to be at least a bit careful when entering them.
The application only allows the use of a single real âxâ argument but can have nearly all the mathematical operations and functions. WinDraw is capable of dealing with fairly complex functions as well. They can have up to 9 levels of parentheses and 100 constants. Operations, as is expected, maintain the standard order in which they are applied: functions, parentheses, exponents, unary minus, multiplication, division, addition and subtraction.
WinDraw also offers you some features that can help customize the graph itself. You get to choose its color from a large palette, automatically scale it and choose between a filled or line graph. Another helpful feature that makes WinDraw even more helpful is the fact that you can choose to display a circle which you can drag across the shape of the graph. While doing so, the application displays the F(X) and Fâ(X) values where the circle is located at.
All the graphs that you create using WinDraw can be saved on your computer as images in JPEG and BMP formats. This way, you can easily insert the plotted functions in various projects and papers. Moreover, for every one you define, you can have the application generate a TXT report.
In closing, WinDraw is by all means a practical and reliable mathematical tool that can definitely help you in any that requires regular and parametric function plotting.
