Xhip Description

Sound synthesis refers to the electronic production of the sound using simple waves and sines tones. Based on this definition, audio oscillators are applications designed to help you emulate a wide variety of sounds, including those of a helicopter, a human voice, a dog’s bark and another instrument, such as a piano or a guitar for example.

In addition to simulating sounds, the synthesizers also have the capacity of producing sounds that do not occur naturally. Despite their versatility, synthesizers are commonly employed in the music industry to reproduce and enhance the sounds of musical instruments.

Considering that guitars, violins or other musical instruments cannot produce multiple sounds at the same time, it does not come as a surprise that artists prefer polyphonic synthesizers, meaning tools that can emulate multiple sounds simultaneously.

Xhip is a VST plugin that bundles quite an impressive array of effects you can employ to improve your own tracks. Although the utility has been around for quite some time, it was initially released as a very basic synthesizer with limited capabilities and no interface.

The application currently features two oscillators, a pair of modulators, two filters, a waveshaper and a super-saw unison. Moreover, it comes with filter input FM, saturation, music unison, xmod and ringmod.

The utility is capable of producing high-quality polyphonic synthesizer sounds, similar to the ones produced in the late 1980s. Consequentially, if you are on the lookout for a tool that allows you to emulate polyphonic sounds for your musical or artistic projects, then perhaps Xhip could lend you a hand.
