YourWanIP Description
YourWanIP is a straightforward and efficient software solution whose main purpose consists of constantly monitoring your WAN IP address and informing you as soon as a change occurs.
Compact and user-friendly looks
The application features a very small and unintrusive interface, in the form of a resizable window where you can also access its configuration preferences.
When reduced to its smaller-size window, YourWanIP simply displays the current address, allowing you to place it anywhere on your desktop, so it can interfere as little as possible with your work.
Quickly learn when your WAN IP address changes
The Wide Area Network IP is not a piece of information that can simply be determined from your computer, as it requires you to connect to an outside server in order to learn it. YourWanIP does that for you automatically and within a few moments.
At system startup, the utility will verify your WAN IP and check for changes at regular (yet non-adjustable) intervals, to make sure it learns as soon as it modifies, enabling you to let you know when it does.
Should the address change, YourWanIP will verify the information several times, to make sure it is not accidental and prevent issuing false alerts; for this reason, there may be a delay of up to one minute in letting you know.
After that, it can blink and / or show a popup dialog displaying the former and the current addresses. The data is logged in the application’s interface, so you can browse through it, if needed.
